hmm since it's the weekend... i guess i shall blog the full description of what happened on my birthday..
late start to the morning at 6am only to see my phone flooded with birthday wishes from pals and all...reached school at 6:55am - 5 mins late for my meeting with laine. actually i was supposed to help her out with linear regression and correlation. the only thing i remembered was that i was still half awake when yakking my head off about the important concepts , or what i think that's important. to be frank, i seemed more to be confusing her than being of any help.
after that, she said that she has to meet a friend in the canteen and got me to tag along. when i walked down the stairs into the canteen, i was kinda stunned - the whole swim team was there! i was still super stunned when they sang the bdae song and all :/ haha. i feel so
gan dong! hazel and laine baked me a cake the prev day at the expense of their revision time, and the team gave me, uhh.. 5 undies!
the cake rocked!cool huh? they're specially designed one worr! [sounds wrong :/]
following that, was the new tradition started by the senior guys - the ripping the the your current undies. it was a wedge till the elastic sorta snapped. kinda pain in my a*s tho :/

i could remember i was smiling like crazy as i went for pe lesson... i was anticipating some
pole-ing from the guys, so i had to live with a
groin guard for the whole pe lesson. however, i got
taupoked and the
groin guard wasn't of much use i suppose :/
the class sang a bdae song to me on the field! ^^

was doing my own work during math lecture and trying to stay focused... i guess i wasn't in the mood for any serious stuff that day so i was kinda
in a different dimension in my various tutorials - something which the tutors couldn't comprehend!

asked the hi5 if they wanted to watch
red cliff after the chemistry consol. lecture. somehow i got knocked out during the lecture and decided to go home thereafter. clement said he had to meet a friend, and so i went back with shi hao. was supposed to study, but i was rather busy going through my presents - the 5 painstakingly designed undies from the team ( oh which one had an obsene quote! ), the adidas water bottle and billabong wallet from the bros!
*oh i have this irritating habit of losing my stuff!~
it was before long that night fell... nothing special happened at home so i guess that that would be all for a day... i opened my green book, and then... there was a knock on the door. i went down... and lo-and-behold! there was a mini-crowd outside my doorstep! it was a surprise party planned by dinah!
lemme see who's there : dinah, [ (church) daniel, enoch, angez ] , [ (njc) clement, shihao ] , [ (chs) dexter t. , ivan, wai chuan, dingyue, rui jie ]
that makes about : 11 people?i was stunned still as the poppers went off and all - so my bro fetched the keys for me. Everyone trooped in, and my mum is kind of surprised as well. there was like so many so many presents! it was certainly lively in here! there was catching up of ol' times with the chs/njc people, and random talk with the church dudes! dinah was running here and there preparing the food, etc. thanks! the surprise party lasted till about 11pm! i had lots of fun! *grins*
and ohoh, xinying-jie called from canada! woohoo!
super high after opening all my presents from all my beloved friends!
got a box containing stuff, and a purple tulip from dinah! <3>THANKS TO ONE AND ALL WHO MADE MY SPECIAL DAY EVEN MORE SPECIAL!

and i thought everything had ended, but it hadn't!
the next morning, during the team meeting, i got a pressie from kaiyuan! thanks dude! it was a book on national service and all :/ haha!

and and today, i got a shirt from nick chan! haha hmm shan't elaborate much, but the design is really
funky! - i mean it! "swim team" huh dude? >.<

class got a cake for me and clement today from island creamery lehh! it's the "mudpie" or something i think? haha! it was ggrreeeaaatt!!!

nationals is over!
somehow i have an empty feeling about thisthings will never be the same without you guys...in my short stay with the team, it's really touching to see everyone grow and change
especially the j1 team [ i am closer to the guys ] - zixiang kenyan reuben moyi jingyi
from the time you joined till nationals, it's really fun to be with you guys
swimming alongside you(s) all - drills, sprints and relays
all the time interacting with you all, getting to know you all...
you guys are the reason why i pushed myself during trainings!
and...
not forgetting the j2 team as well - nicholas timothy ben hazel crystal elaine grace
you guys never gave up on me even though i failed so badly at the beginning :
when my tumble-turns/flips were like handstands underwater
even when i was breathing as if i were drowning when i sprinted...

sobs :'(now without thursday morning training even...i kinda miss training and pushing myselfthose times when i told that i couldn't do it but i actually did it and surprised myself [ sounds retarded :/ ]---
after half a year of battling in chlorine water, i finally hang up my trunks
