BACK FROM PERLIS
PAINFUL BUT ENRICHING EXPERIENCE
to people on Boat A. We may not have won anything in the race, but the fact that we have given our best in the race itself proved everything - our hunger and desire to win. the most important thing is that we bring that hunger back to singapore and use it to push our trainings up one step further.
i am very touched by the fact that we gave our all in the int heats 1 when we were already out of shape, the race being a consecutive one. when i saw the way we looked when we got back onto shore, i was sure that the race would be a goner. when the other boats pulled past us in the 2nd race, i was sure that the physical and mental exhaustion would cause us to die out and give up. but however, no one on the boat gave in to pain. i was very inspired by this fighting spirit. i'm sorry craftmates, for not having enough faith in you all.
lets face it. we tried out best. we gave our all. apparently our best wasnt't enough. let's push harder during training and win next year!

junior guys team evaluation in me/hy's bunk dragged till late. haha. qinrui and aiman were having a "capsize debate". haha. even so, i believe that those who were there learnt much that we can apply in our trainings in future. we also found out where we went wrong and all. it has aligned our goals with the team and all. it made those who were there all the more want to fight for the team. it's so cool that we guys can take time off our rest to do something constructive. instead of watching Troy or anything. i feel that this sacrifice of rest/leisure time has been well used. haha

the ball games were rather rough. maybe it's that we were on a grassy field that people went around sliding/flying and whatsoever oh-my-tian acrobatics. we had fun though. we played soccer?! like that's something that i never thought that canoeists could play. i thought that canoeists only play those safety-first games. :X

the games on the second day got rougher and all. haha. it got worse i guess. with more striking incidents and mr yong's specs went flying 5 times?

There was a blackout.. due to the technician being n-0-0-b. Actually the first level of lights went out.. then the technician make until the whole hotel. YES THE WHOLE HOTEL BLACKOUT. [pic attached below...] lolness...
And our room became populated.... [went it blackout-ed aiman used my camera as a flashbang :/ ]
