went for english tuition 2dae..haha..1st lesson..was told that the ppl there all come from reputed schools..well..as expected..they seemed quite nerdy..even got some reading newspapers..i was thinking..omg..pls pls dun tell mi that this class is full of "ku-ku" stoners..

i thank God that it wasn't like that..even thought the class was not so "lively" as i expected..The ppl there all seem very zai so i got feel a bit inferior that mi results are kinda lousy..

this christmas..i din get the stuff that i wanted..no ipod coz parents dun allow..no chocs coz i haf a bad throat for a week already..no sweets..well..haha..the best part of it is that mi phone got confiscated coz i exceeded sms-es..(783sms)

have not been blogging for very very long already..erm..hahax..

caroling 2005 has officially come to an end..carolled at 4 houses..the food was great..haha..had fun there with the ppl there..getting to know each other better..the 2nd house is very warm..mi n ralph were soaked..well..haha..i and Jacko were suppossed to keep the carolling group in order and reach the houses in time..get them organised..erm..uh-huh..i remembered getting all stressed up when we were at the 3rd house coz we only have 30 mins left to service..well..we gonna be late..

at the 3rd house..something weird happened..as i was singing "silent night..holy night..sheperds quake..at the sight..glories stream from heaven afar.."..at that point of time..i was like "seeing" the actual thing itself..the glory of God streaming from the skies..it was so real..i felt the jubilant yet solemn feeling..WOW!! I wanted to experience it all over again..it was so real..

servie was nice..haha..burnt miself 3~4 times with wax dripping from the candle..*ouch*..muz remember 2 b more careful next time..carolled at the parking lot after that..then proceeded to Matthew's place to carol..hehe..countdowned with Rachel (sec 2..caroling grp)..supposed to call the rest of the absent ppl..onli to find out that they are either out or busy..but we had fun there..

Went to Dawn's place for party and sleep-over..haha..until then i din noe that her parents are mi bro's sunday sch teacher..haha..so malu of mi..well..borrowed books from her younger bro David..haha..played xbox with her cousin..jack-something..haha..until 5am..so tired..remembered stoning the next morning..at the steps..haha..momentary pause..2nd time in front of the toilet..lolx

went to church..had to carol in front of the congregation..that was scary..but the experience is priceless..gerald commented on our grp's performance..jiajun was late..but nevertheless didn't missed out the fun..haha..

caroling 2dae was fun..haha..i practiced with Ralph at 11.30am this morning (actually supposed to be at 11am..but some1 was late!!)..found out that i was not catching the tune enuf..muz listen more and pitch accordingly..all was fine..haha..then Samantha came in..i began to feel pai-seh coz i was off..haha..Hoping to improve..

Dunnoe y I sing so loud juz now..got hint from Gabriel that i was off *thanks*..glad i din embarass miself..had great fun though..i was in charge of herding the entire group..remembering the train was there..Dawn rushed every1 in when i was doing headcount..and i left poor Nat behind..*gasps*..did a headcount on the train..aww..felt so useless..

Had fun helping ou tthe salvation army..was helping to ring the bell in tune to Nick's guitar..was realli childish..Had light meal wif Gabirel, Andrew, Andrew's girl , Shane, Glenn and Bertrand..They prank-called Amy with Andrew's girl posing as Gabriel's gf..haha..Caroling at Century SQ was disappointing cause the stage was removed and we had to sing while standing on the floor *how degrading*..well..JJ had to go home..so that left the few of us there to take group pics and go for dinner..haha..

Went for dinner with 2 * Rachels (a sec1 one and a sec2 one)..Felicia..Samantha..Matthew and Nicholas..that was fun..coz Nick was acting gentleman..trying to walk home with Rachel (the sec 1 one)..yoyox..that became a scandal..haha..as joking about it with e other Rachel..haha..guess Nick was realli pai-seh..couldn't see him blushing tho..i think that was funny..coz Rachel was realli not at ease..haha..Nick following her home..lol..

heyy guyys..juz an apology..

i do agree with your opinions..haha..esp elaine's statement that we all can do a part to change the way ym seems..erm i guess i was like "pushing-e-blame" in e initial post..but guess i owe you all an apology..do hope that you guys can 4give miie..heeheex..

elaine's statement realli made sense in the fact that this is OUR YM..the ones to make changes are US..not the ym comittee..

i think the changes can be as such:

ppl can be askd to volunteer to guide the new sec 1s who are not very comfortable with the new environment for the 1st few weeks..on mi part..i will be asking the "enthu" bunch of guys to see if they wanna come along or not..do encouragements crds also..haha..

worship portion..think its more on the attitude factor.."camp high" and stuff like that..its all on the attitude..and 20% musicians..like in LTC..erm..mi grp weren't realli prepared..the worship felt "hollow" to us ourselves..erm..nt sure the correct way of doing it..haha

fun factor..not exactly in control..but try my best to keep you guys informed on happenings..

On a serious note...

haiz..this problem is really becoming obvious to the youths of PMC..at least to some..i was hoping to see Ber online to chat abt this..well..apparently he is rarely online..haha..i feel like finding someone who can understand..someone who can make a change..

was reading the post on vanessa's blog..well..she also realised this problem..so i guess its realli becoming a major pain-in-the-ass..

I think that the ym's structure is quite okay..except some things have to change for the benefits of the newcomers..like : (these are responses from some youths)

1. Increased hospitality*impt* - following-up is inadequate..Some youths feel left out after a while..
2. Worship?? - youths think that worship is not "power" enuf?? As in you can "feel" the Spirit during main services at cornerstone??
3. Fun - Activities..need more outreach..as in some of those asked say that they wld like to have more fun here..
4. Encouragements?? - mayb encouragement cards for youth going thru major examinations..not only for the p6's PSLE during TOFU onli..

shan't say too much..otherwise PAF ppl come bash miie up then not nice already..hahax

reached church at 7am...slept for onli 4hrs
was looking wierd..a spiked hair guy wif a wan2sleep look
day began at 8am
registration waz good.lotsa ppl..went into anna's grp..
had fun playing ice-breakers..sabohed sam-phua
treasure hunt began..nt quite fun coz i agar agar noe where some e clues are..[cheating]
got s-c-r-e-w-e-d coz got carried away and began saying wad waz in the dark room
haha..enjoyed miself tho..cam bat went dead
mi dad dropped by to pass miie charger..thankful 4 tt
lunch was fun..advance party set off already
awaited walk to the park began
i was taking pictures of what happened..it was sooo fun

Here's miie blogging now..haha..juz back from an e-v-e-n-t-f-u-l LTC (Leadership Training Camp)..haha..

Day 1

woke up at 6.00 am..*yawns*..took mrt from serangoon to bourna vista..we played cards in the station..felt so funny and stoopid..we won the gals :)

we got into the bunk..began to laugh..(we gave our bunk names)..r-o-f-l..latr got workshops..Interesting way to start a camp..I learned lotsa from there..got to noe miself better..No games..I haf 2 prepare 4 worship..wld had skipped dinner if Nat din buy us some (Thanks Nat!!)..We were scared..but felt His presence..then begam singing..(Lol!!) 1st nite vesper meant the camp vv intensive and time-packed..some ppl cried..(presence of God falling upon them)..mie ah..erm..oh well..

"To cry means that you are human once more"

1st night was eventful..we began screaming dis::

ME: "what do all non-christians want?"

Crowd:"Fun!!"

ME: "what do all christians want?"

Crowd:"Fun!!"

ME: "When should you invite them to church?"

Crowd:"Saturday!!"

All proclaim: "Amen!!"

Felt kinda bored after repeating dis many times..shane knocked at our window asked us to sleep..Andrew challenged us tt if we can wake up at 7.00am e next day..he wld give us a solo performance..lol..

Did nothing all e way till 1.30 ++ am except give each other girl's name..Eugene kept bouncing on the bad.. I tot he got screwed!!

Day 2

ke up bunk at 6.15 am..went down to the benches and did QT..I think that it is the best time to do it..since in the room the guys r alwaes fooling around..and do it afterwards i can't seem to get the bunch togehter..2plaeful n restless..did camp pre-work wif e rest during QT..those guys 4got abt it..hiaz..went back 2 bunk..ended up playing cards..returned juz in time be4 e rain start..(God's blessings)

Workshops again..this time got something new..to explain e gospels..they got our mentors to wash our feet.."I feel so wierd!!"..then muz reflect on it..haha..i luuvre ps aaron's sermon..it was g-r-e-a-t!! SO captivating..haha..

went over to clarissa's bunk to help celebrate her bdae..will b uploading the video of dinah cutting a slice of cake wif her fingers..lolx

went to sleep..zzz..

Day 3

My day began ard 5.30 am..*yawns*..woke up e guys by 6.00am.. our whole bunk finished packing by 6.30am..went to wake Andrew up to do QT wif us..he was bleary-eyed..lolx..

the whole day was very fun..played with BB boys at Springfield..then returned to church for workshops again..public speaking course was teh funny..after then got holy communion..break camp..

On the 1st few caroling practices, there were <15>praying praying praying, it has becoming a 30+ strong choir..but e pitching needs more attention tho..but all's fine..

i felt so malu mixing up the names..tot Gabby waz Dawn's bro when he was her b.f...haha..coz wrong perception sia..coz they 2 always come 2gether..

pushed Gerald into the ladies..(no 1 in there tho)...

Can't seem to take my mind of revs

I like e portion at e end there when satan met his doom..and death and hades were also destroyed..humanity wld be able to live eternally after that lor..be4 that are the tribulations..the trunpets and the censers..woe to the citizens..sounds kinda storybook style 1..but its quite interesting..genesis and revelations..the beginning and the end (lol!!)...i like the part when God said : "i am the alpha and the omega"..sounds kinda Woosh!! time to be serious..revelations means the judgement of all mankind according to their deeds and punishment will be meted out accordingly..so scary..this time God will not be sent down to die for us again, but to judge us from above..well...

2 more daes to ltc..i can hardly wait!!i haf packed my stuff alrready..haiz.. my whole week so busy..monday to wednesday caroling..thursday to saturday ltc..sinday got church..pratically 1 whole week has been used up..lol!!

Just got this wierd idea i haf 2 sae dis

I believe as christians we shld live Christ-like lives(sounds quite cheem hor!)...I think that it may be hard for us to do so sometimes becoz of :

1. Friends around us who have a great influence to us
2. Lack of discipline
3. Afraid to share the gospel wif non believers

I think that these pointers shld be worked on .. Today, some ppl stiu refused to accept Christ into theor lives (Haiz).. like was happened at GAP camp 2004 (kinda outdated hor).. we stood at orchard road asking ppl abt Christ..well on 1 hand we were glad to find some christians who attend church regularly..on the other, disappointed coz when we tried to share wif some of e ppl, they dao us lor..(so rude!!)

The problem wif some christians is that when they are doing well, they do not acknowledge God..when doing badly start cursing y God wld lead them into such a situation..this is way way wrong..rectification shld be made abt such events..

King David was termed as "a man after god's heart" in the bible (can't find verse now). Even tho he has comitted many sins in his lifetime such as murder (2 Sam 11:1~27 NIV) , he repented and remained faithful to the end. I think that he haf set a good example (correct mi if i am wrong) of mortal being able to live a Christ-like life..

Hence, I shall close mi discussion..tats ll 4 now..3 more days to ltc

last night was truly eventful..the bulb thingy blew up i my face..(i will b posting e pics soon..)ouch..the main switch tripped..blackout..hiaz..slept at 2.45 am..woke up at 6.15 am for LTC briefing

today at church was fun..realli fun..forgot cannot eat in the santuary..was eatin marshmellows there..so chewy..got service lah..otherwise may haf played "chubby bunny*" wif Ryan..I muz sae tt service muz be a little boring coz can see ppl nodding off (lol!)..the announcements in the bulletin was damn funny.."Lost n Found..Old bible..owned by sheldon liew.."that was teh funny..

after that we got games..played taboo.lotsa laughter...last minute vanessa tot of e idea of playing dai-dee..lol! that was fun..neva tot jacko wld b so "qiang"..haha..muz try to play more..practice makes perfect..

after ym i went shopping wif mi mum and dad (i wld prefer to go alone lah)..met shane and co..lol..they were laughing so loud i can hear them when i was coming up the escalator..bought mi shirt and stuff..no black shoes tho..muz carry on finding..so ex lorz..1 pair of shoes for s$60..money suddenly seemed so small and insignificant..

got into an argument wif mi parents on the way back about homework again..it usually happens..hiaz..they sae i do nt enuf work..i say that mi results are good enuf..for sec 3, 13 pts iz very less rite?they expecting <10..last term i got 17..haiz..sick mah..forget it lah..no way to talk them over..they stiu tinking tt i am some sch dropout..

Yesterday's caroling's attendance was terrible..Ppl started coming in at 5.30 ~ 5.45 pm when the prac iz supposed to start at 5.00pm (typical methodists)..At least for once Jacko comes early..haax..Practice was so funny..Wif ppl like Daryl around..haha..last 15 mins keep talking that he was hungry..haha..then we started joking abt eating shit (lol!)..Prac will end lots later..coz Dawny (instructor) got a trip and will only be back on the 21st (the 1st day we are performing..lolx!!) I think I was singing out of tune yeterday..guess i was screaming the words instead of singing them out..alas..hope to see more 2dae lorz
